Sarina: We are both hyper aware of what we put into our bodies. Going out to restaurants has always been an issue because they don’t inform you upfront of everything in their food. According to Food Allergy Research and Education it is estimated that up to 15 million Americans have food allergies.
Mika: It is hard to know anymore what we are eating and with food allergies on the rise, we want to create a new dining experience starting with how you ordering your food by developing The Menu App. Our vision with this app is to make it different then Yelp or Urbanspoon, we want it to be personalized to each restaurant that participates.
Sarina: Inside the app we want to see specific dishes with all its allergens and main ingredients. Not only can you see reviews on the overall restaurant but of specific dishes as well. We want this app to be 100% user centered for BOTH the restaurant AND the customer.
